Hot chocolate during the most romantic tournament at Valle Romano

The St. Valentine’s Tournament brought together nearly 40 players on a cold but sunny morning on 11th February. Tee-off was at 9 a.m. sharp and marked a day characterized by a friendly atmosphere and the good mood of the participants.

Midway during the morning the stewards went out onto the course to give out hot chocolate among the players, who were very appreciative of the courtesy shown by the club.  “Despite the freezing weather lately, the team at Valle Romano managed to maintain the course in excellent condition and comforted the players with their excellent service,” one of the tournament participants remarked. 

Following the day’s play, the prizes were then handed out at the Club House, where an original cocktail was served that was enjoyed by both players and their companions.

Annabet Parker stood out in the ladies’ category with 35 points, followed by Misericordia del Valle with 31 and Carol Abrey with 30. In the first men’s category, the prize was won by  José Delgado with 36 points, with Juan Luis Arroyo with 34 in second place and then Bengt Goran with 32. Peter Huggard was the winner in the second men’s category with 33 points, and Kart Ake came second with 32, followed by Chris Thomas con 29.

There were also prizes for the closest ball, which was won by José García, and the longest drive, won by Amar Abelazis and Gabriela Johne in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.
